Take a Trip Back in Time with Photobooth Planet

By Marina I. Jokic

Photobooth Planet specializes in customizable photo booths for pretty much any occasion. Owner of the company Chris Centracchio joined his friends' photo booth venture in 2011, taking the company to new heights. In the formative years that followed, the team patented a hard-sided, enclosed booth as well as an open air bellows booth that looked like a century-old camera. Centracchio also spearheaded the development of a Volkswagen photo bus, one of their most popular mobile booths for rent that takes you back in time.

"We love helping people bond when they are gathered for the most important events of their lives, mainly weddings and special occasions," Centracchio said. "The photo booths that we offer all have a 'wow' factor to them."

At Photobooth Planet, you will encounter an array of options. The vintage style, hard-sided photo booth is a classic choice for weddings and engagement parties. Remaining true to the iconic look of the turn-of-the-century booth, there are no theme park antics or pipe-and-drape kits here. Gracefully styled to match the aesthetic sensibilities of a wedding, this photo booth is roomy, elegant, and possesses a whimsical feel. The company can rent booths in most of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.

The traditional open air booth and their recently released bellows booth capture images in the open and allow for customizable backdrops. These booths allow for larger groups, and require guests to press a button to have their picture taken. Two identical strips of three glossy photos (black and white or color, and customizable to include text) are produced and ready to view in seconds.

A unique addition to the company's offerings is their VW PhotoBuses in Vermont, consisting of two distinct vans that evoke the wanderlust and flower spirit of the 60's and 70's. Scarlet & Bernie, 1966 and 1967 VW minibuses, have been restored to their former glory with painstaking attention to detail. Since Scarlet & Bernie were converted into red and white, rolling photo booths, guests can enjoy the plush interior to their hearts' content and take as many photos as they want. It's an experience that allows couples, friends, and families to cherish shared memories for years to come. The VW buses grab people's attention everywhere they travel.

"Our booths reflect our values of: excellence, uniqueness and fun," Centracchio said. "We love when people touch the VW Bus and say 'let me tell you a story of when our family used to travel in one of these' or when they close the curtain of the classic enclosed booth and the privacy lets them get a bit [sillier]."
